Apex Nut Butters was born from a straightforward idea: peanut butter could be so much more. Founder Zachary Mislark started roasting nuts in his kitchen because the jars on the shelves just didn’t cut it. They were too bland, overly processed, and predictably so. What began as a late-night experiment evolved into a mission to revolutionize the world of nut butters with bold flavors, genuine ingredients, and a fresh-roasted taste that you can truly savor in every bite.
At Apex, we treat nut butter like an art form. Every batch is roasted small, blended with care, and flavored in ways that break the mold. A Letter from our Founder
My story isn’t about seeking sympathy. It’s about showing what’s possible when life tries to break you, and you decide to get stronger instead.
I was born with a rare kidney disease that slowly stole my energy and freedom. In 2020, I received a transplant that changed everything. For the first time, I felt what it meant to be alive, with energy, clarity, and purpose.
But life didn’t give me a free pass. Less than a year later, COVID and organ rejection hit me at the same time. I spent seven months battling pain, surgeries, and depression. Some days, I didn’t want to keep going. But I reminded myself: someone gave me this life. I had to honor it.
That moment lit a fire in me. I wasn’t just going to recover. I was going to build. That’s why I started Apex.
Apex was built on that belief. To me, “Apex” isn’t just a name. It’s about reaching the peak of your potential and refusing to settle. My goal is to create something that fuels people on their own climb, whether that’s in health, work, or life.
I may have scars, but I also have grit. And if my story pushes even one person to aim higher, it’s worth telling.
